Teaching Workshop Series Lecture #1
Active Learning in Your Classroom
Friday, September 19, 2014
9:30 am - 12:00 pm | Faculty Center (MLIB 1705)
Our first workshop is Active Learning in Your Classroom. Research has consistently demonstrated that getting students actively engaged with the course material leads to better memory and retention, as well as higher-order skills such as critical thinking. During this Active Learning workshop, you will learn about and participate in several activities that can be applied with little effort to all disciplines from Humanities to the Sciences. We will help to make it easy to engage your students by using strategies that will encourage them to take an active role in their education and in the classroom.
Online registration is now closed, you may register at the door beginning at 9:00 am.
